Turabian Format Bibliography

If you need to arrange materials used for paper writing in Turabian bibliography, you need to provide this information:  last name of the author, title of the work, place of publication, publisher, and year.  Turabian bibliography list is titled 'bibliography' and is presented on the last page of your term paper or research paper.  Unlike other referencing styles, Turabian bibliography format requires additional spacing between the entries (each entry is single-spaced, though).  Below you will find several Turabian bibliography format examples and, I hope, you will learn how to make a bibliography in accordance to this style.

Despite of the topic of your assignment, unless it is a personal essay or opinion paper, you need to provide a detailed bibliography and ensure proper in-text citation.  Moreover, you need to pay attention to page format requirements imposed by Turabian style.  For example, there is no need to provide title page and outline, while title of your term paper should be centered on the first page.  Text should be double-spaced without additional spacing between paragraphs, while footnotes and endnotes should be single-spaced.  Page number should be centered at the bottom of the first page, and be placed on the upper right corner of the subsequent pages.

Turabian Format Bibliography: Examples

Books should be referenced in accordance to the following example:

Last Name, First Name. Title. Place of Publication:  Publisher, Year. Turabian bibliography sample (book):  Wilison, David. How to overcome stress. New York:  Pantheonic, 2000. Footnote/endnote format:  David Wilison, How to overcome stress (New York:  Pantheonic, 2000), 13.

Articles in newspapers should be references in accordance to the following example:

Last Name, First Name, Title, Newspaper, Day Month Year, Section, Year. Turabian bibliography sample (newspaper): Richy, Ginger. 'Impact on human activities on environment.' Environmental News.  23 May 2004, A4, p. 3.

Footnote/endnote format:  Ginger Richy, 'Impact of human activities on environment,' Environmental News, 23 May 2004, sec. A4, p. 3.

Please pay attention that Turabian paper style does not require listing newspapers in a bibliography - it is enough to cite newspaper article in-text.

Articles in magazines should be referenced in accordance to the following example:

Last, First.  'Title.' Magazine Volume, Number, (Year):  pages. Turabian bibliography sample (magazine):  Bright, Nicole.  'Why to go to Australia.'  International Geography 23, no. 6 (2002):  301-9.  Footnote/endnote format:  Nicole Bright, 'Why to go to Australia,' International Geography 23, no. 6 (2002):  301-9.

There are no specific guidelines for referencing electronic documents, however, you should provide the following information:  author, title, type of document, electronic address, date of publication (if available), date of access, and page (if available).  If you are not sure whether your bibliography meets all of Turabian referencing style requirements, you are welcome to ask our writers for assistance.  We will help you to write a good essay and bibliography list will be provided at no cost for you!  For example, ordering a custom term paper writing on Lynne Reid Banks, you receive free bibliography of Lynne Reid BanksOrder term paper writing and get it written by professionals, entrust your assignment to custom-essay.ws!
